As the Danish currency (DNK) is pegged to the euro, Denmark’s Central Bank has for mandate to maintain the peg (+/- 2.25% around 7.46038 DNK for 1 EUR). Consequently, the monetary policy is not independent and the lending rate follows closely the refi rate of the ECB. The Danmarks Nationalbank has no target for inflation.
